Vahid Fotuhi is Vice President for Business Development, Middle East and Africa at Zero Mass Water.
His mandate is to secure partnerships with government and corporate entities if the fast-growing sector
of sustainable water infrastructure.
Prior to this, Vahid was Managing Director at Access Power, a leading developer, owner and operator of
energy infrastructure assets in Africa and Central Asia. During his six years at Access he originated,
developed and helped secure financing for solar and wind power projects in 12 countries, delivering
over $600m worth of clean energy projects to tens of millions of people.
From 2009 until 2012, Vahid was the Regional Director for BP Solar Middle East, the region’s largest offgrid solar systems provider. Prior to that, Vahid worked in North Africa where he was in charge of
Government Affairs for BP’s $2.4bn Algeria division.
Vahid is the Founder of the Middle East Solar Industry Association (MESIA), the largest and most active
solar trade organization in the Middle East, established in Dubai in 2009.
